To provide technical support to the customer regarding product knowledge.
Description:
· Answer the telephone in an efficient and professional manner.
· Assist the customer in identifying the correct part or technology to achieve a solution.
· Attend training on new products and convey application to customers.
· Take part orders from customers over phone/fax/email and accurately enter into DISC system.
· Provide price and availability information to customer.
· Expedite Report-Follow up with customers and factories to ensure on time delivery. Communicate to customer if there is a delay in their order.
· Enter quotes for Non-Stock items into DISC.
· Be of assistance to outside sales in any way necessary.
Skills
Required:
· Strong communication and organizational skills
· Knowledge of fluid power, sensors, motors, PLC’s and various industrial technologies
· Customer service motivation
· 2-5 years of customer service contact
· Attention to detail
· Ability to work independently
· The flexibility to learn and perform several job functions
· Demonstrated ability to learn concepts of a technical nature
· Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows
Education:
Education in the field of industrial automation and fluid power, 2 year degree minimum.
